Glenn Hartrick, an avid triathlete, member of GCTri and Jersey City resident, was on a routine training ride the morning of June 12, 2014 when his ride became anything but routine. Glenn was involved in a very serious crash which resulted in several serious injuries which have left him paralyzed from the chest down. He underwent many surgeries at Hackensack University Medical Center, and spent 30 days recovering there. Glenn continued his recovery at Kessler Rehabilitation Center for in-patient treatment and continues to attend therapy on an outpatient basis. Every medical professional that came into contact with Glenn was amazed at his drive, discipline and perseverance and couldn’t believe how quickly he progressed. Although his life has been altered by this tragic event, he hasn’t given up on his love for endurance racing.

In 2015, Glenn was back doing what he loves and completed 2 full marathons, half marathons, and several 5k’s on his handcycle. While Glenn continues to have tremendous determination and accomplish amazing things, we ask that you continue to support him through this event.
